Summer Associate, Host Success
The company:
Harvest Hosts is the largest private RV camping network in North America. We provide a complete group of offerings to streamline the road travel and camping experience. Our collection of companies includes the central Harvest Hosts product, a membership that offers unique overnight stays at wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, museums, and other scenic small businesses; Boondockers Welcome, a community of RVers allowing guests to stay overnight on their property for free; Escapees RV Club, one of the largest and most established RV membership organizations, offering resources, education, and community for all RVers; CampScanner, an alert service to book sold-out campgrounds; and Brit Stops, a membership connecting motorhome tourists in the UK and Ireland with small businesses for overnight stays.
What we do:
Our mission is to advance the technology and accessibility of the RVing and campground industry, making traveling while supporting national parks, local small businesses, and communities happier and easier than ever.
The Position:
In this role you will help the Host Success team drive the success of our Campground Partners by providing education, outreach, and technological assistance (i.e., the 1,200+ campgrounds that welcome RVers). The success of our Campgrounds is essential to the success of Harvest Hosts, and in this position you will drive an immediate impact at the company.
You will be responsible for performing outreach to potential, new, and existing Campground Partners (via email, calling, and texting) to educate them on the program and collect information about their physical location and on-site experiences. The information collected will be used to update their Campground profile on our website, with the goal of increasing the number of members that stay at their location, and thus increasing the revenue they generate through the program.
You will need to be a fast learner to get up to speed on the Harvest Hosts platform, as well as a clear and concise communicator, with an interest in talking to business owners on the phone, to explain the purpose of our outreach and collect relevant information in a timely manner. You will also need to be competent at navigating the multiple websites, tools, and applications necessary to perform the outreach, update profiles, and keep our Campgrounds’ information updated in our internal systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent Communicator - You have strong communication skills. You are able to understand and explain our program features and requests to non-tech savvy folks with ease. You are comfortable with all types of communication -- email, text, and phone.
- Focus and Discipline - You are able to self-motivate and can maintain a steady, calm pace to work through a large number of outreach efforts. You know the road is long, but you take it one step at a time.
- Technologically Savvy - You are comfortable with navigating multiple websites, tools, and applications simultaneously to perform a variety of tasks. You feel right at home behind the keyboard and on the phone.
- Problem Solver - You do not shy away from handling unique problems. When presented with a new situation, you are able to gather notes, relay the issue internally, propose solutions, and move forward without missing a beat.
- Experience with phone outreach or face-to-face sales / support.
- Experience with CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.
- Experience with mapping platforms like Miro or LucidCharts.
- Experience with project management software such as Asana, Notion, or ClickUp.
